Taste of London - four days of foodie heaven

Just after the summer solstice, a magical time when days are long and people unite in celebrations and festivities, London’s Regent’s Park became a venue for a melting pot of experiences for all senses known as Taste of London.

Mostly food-oriented but so much enriched by all sorts of beverages, live music and shows. A-four-day-multi-course-feast and an opportunity to experience several culinary orgasms.
Just in case, all stands were safely installed under marques and a network of hard pathways was built to avoid marshy spots. It was a sort of a hovering foodie heaven.

The purpose? Total immersion in the London food scene, a chance to experiment something new for the regulars and a crash course for the newly arrived who are still finding their way around.
The exhibitors, a line-up of 40 of the city's best restaurants and 200 producers from Britain and around the world seeking new converts. The visitors, dozens of thousands of hunger-driven-foodies aiming their forks and purses at the produce from such countries as Argentina, Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Spain and Thailand, among others.
In addition, regular masterclasses and demonstrations on cooking and eating were given in several locations around the venue by top chefs including Wolfgang Puck, Atul Kochhar, Michel Roux Jr, Simon Hulstone, Theo Randall and Jamie Oliver.

Food has always been at the core of interest of humanity, a necessity that has gradually become also a source of pleasure rather than just fuel. Such events remind and demonstrate how enjoyable and entertaining cooking and food and drink pairing are, and even more if in company and to the sound of music. At the end of the day the food is best when shared and is an infallible magnet that brings people together.
